[origin: WO8704689A1] Method and device for gripping a flexible piece, for example a textile piece, from a stack. The piece is maintained by means of a pressing pad along one edge and a hooking member (4) is applied along the opposite edge, said hooking member presenting a rough surface (11) for hooking the piece in an extended position. The hooking member is displaced first to put the piece in an extended position and after for taking the stretched piece from the pile. The stretched piece is seized on the two unheld edges by means of grippers. The hooking member is displaced towards its initial position to loosen the extremity of the piece which is transferred to the following station by moving the grippers. The hooking member (4) presents a semicylindrical contact surface (11) which is rotatingly movable about the axis (16) of said cylinder by means of a jack (19) integral with the body (14) of the member (4).
