[origin: US4826562A] In a device for unwinding from a roll a backing tape having double-sided adhesive tape adhering thereto, comprising a housing containing a wind-off and a take-up sleeve operatively connected to one another by unlockable cogwheels and, projecting from the housing, a freely rotatable application roller around which the tape unwinding from a supply spool on the wind-off sleeve to the take-up sleeve is looped, easy operation can be achieved if a spring-loaded supporting plate is provided which carries the complete unwinding mechanism and is arranged in the housing so as to pivot about an axis in the housing floor and if a pin, fixed to the housing floor can be engaged in a tooth gap of a cogwheel.

Bei einem Abrollgerät (7) für ein Abdeckband mit doppelseitig klebenden Klebeband, mit einer Ab- (8) und einer Aufwickelhülse (9), die über entsperrbare Zahnräder (13, 14, 15) getrieblich miteinander verbunden sind, und einer frei drehbaren, aus dem Gehäuse (6) vorkragenden, von dem sich von einer Vorratsspule (2) der Abwickelhülse (8) zur Aufwickelhülse (9) abspulenden Band schlaufenförmig umschlungenen Auftragrolle (11), läßt sich eine einfache Handhabung erreichen, wenn eine federbeaufschlagte Trägerplatte (22) mit der gesamten Abrollmechanik versehen und schwenkbeweglich um eine Achse (23) des Gehäusebodens (12) in dem Gehäuse (6) angeordnet und ein am Gehäuseboden (12) befestigter Zapfen (25) in eine Zahnlücke eines Zahnrades (13) einrastbar ist.
