[origin: EP0292871A1] The device for lifting and supporting stacked heavy bodies, in particular heating boilers and the like, comprises a set of at least three supporting columns 1 with in each case a lifting element 2 displaceable on the supporting column 1 and self-locking under the action of load and also a guide element 3 provided at a distance from the holding element 2. In this arrangement, all lifting and guide elements 2, 3 can be connected to the heavy body 4 to be lifted. With this device, the top body of two (or more) heavy bodies 4, 9 can be lifted effortlessly and safely even in restricted space conditions, whereupon the heavy body 9 located underneath can be moved and also exchanged if necessary. The device can be used in particular in the case of heating installations in which the heating boiler is normally put onto supporting structures, hot-water tanks, heat exchangers, etc. The device is especially versatile if the ends of the lifting and guide elements 2, 3 are designed as detachable end pieces 11, in particular as push-in adaptors; they thus enable the device to be used on most common boiler makes. <IMAGE>
