[origin: EP0293360A2] In the package, a small number, e.g. ten, of folded handkerchiefs (1) are stacked adjacently and this stack is covered on all sides by a film which is wrapped around the stack in the peripheral direction around two longitudinal narrow sides and two broad sides of the stack. The end portions (4, 5) of the film (2) overlap each other on one of the longitudinal narrow sides (6) of the package and, in this case, the end portion (4) of the film lying on the outside in the overlap can be raised from the inner end portion (5) of the film lying below it to expose a removal opening (7) for the handkerchiefs. The end portion (4) of the film lying on the outside in the overlap has a convexly extending edge (12) in its central region and this end portion (4) of the film extends with its end (21) over a part of the longitudinal broad side (22) of the package, said broad side being formed by the end portion (5) of the film lying on the inside. A repeatedly fixable adhesive surface (23) or press-on connection is provided between said end (21) and the zone (23), lying below said end (21), of the end portion (5) of the film lying on the inside. <IMAGE>
