[origin: WO8804233A1] A screw press (1) has a housing (3) with an upper part (2) and a lower part (5). A press-screw (16) is rotatively mounted in an upper bearing (14) in a cover (11) of the upper part (2) and in a lower bearing (19) in the lower part (5). The press-screw (16) has a hollow screw body (27) with openings (38) for expressed liquid and with compacting paddles (56) and spiral fins (57) mounted on its outer side. Several stops (26) secured to the housing (3) extend along several axial planes between these fins. The housing has a screening case (22) through which the expressed liquid passes and an outer injection case (21) spaced from the first one. The expressed liquid is carried away by draining means (30) of the lower part (5). The lower part (5) rests on a standing frame (7) that surrounds a telescopic driving pipe (52) and, lower down, a driving unit (20) that rotates the driving pipe (52). The driving pipe (52) is linked to the screw-body (27) inside the lower bearing (19).
