This screw connection results in a high production and assembly cost. The object of the invention is to design a relay of the type mentioned initially such that the connection between the contact carrier (7) and the free limb (1b) of the magnetic return clip (1) can be positioned precisely and be seated firmly, with a small assembly cost. In a contact carrier (7) according to the invention, the latching tabs of the side supporting arms (7b) latch onto the free limb (1b) of the magnetic return clip (1). A cross-web (7d), connecting the side supporting arms (7b), is used to provide support on the free limb (1b) of the magnetic return clip (1) and hence, acting as a spring element, exerts a force on the contact carrier (7) to produce a firm seat on the free limb (1b) of the magnetic return clip (1). The cross-web (7b) is provided centrally with a peg (7f) which engages in a hole on the free limb (1b) of the magnetic return clip (1) for the precise positioning of the contact carrier (7) on the free limb (1b) of the magnetic return clip (1).
