[origin: EP0294266A2] The support structure comprises at least one elementary beam formed by two wooden booms (7; 8) connected by a web (9) made of a corrugated metallic sheet whose toothed edges are forcibly embedded in the said booms. According to the invention, it comprises an underlying tensioning element (21) extending beneath the lower boom or booms (8) and parallel thereto, between two intermediate descending jambs (10, 11) forming one body with the said support structure and connected to the ends of this structure by inclined struts (23, 26), the structure being manufactured in order to have, at rest, a slight upward curvature, its underlying element being tensioned after mounting in order to increase the initial curvature and the said structure subsequently being loaded in order to generate a prestress and then unloaded in order to return substantially to the initial curvature. <IMAGE>
