[origin: GB2198189A] An aerosol valve comprising a mounting cup (10), a gasket (14) having a central opening, a valve housing (12), a valve stem (20) and a valve body (16), wherein the valve stem and valve body move within the valve housing in response to pressure on the valve stem, the improvement comprising a valve body having at least one upstanding wall (26) defining a recess (22) in the valve body and having a slot (21) extending from the top shoulder of the upstanding wall which slot communicates with the interior of the container when the valve is actuated; a valve stem having a longitudinal opening therethrough and a member (24) that frictionally and releasably engages within the valve body recess, said valve stem further having an orifice (42) aligned with the longitudinal opening of the valve stem, which communicates at one side with the slot in the recess of the valve body and at the other side with the longitudinal opening in the valve stem; and the central opening of the gasket sealing the slot defined by the upstanding wall of the valve body when the valve is in a closed position.

Soupape d'aérosol comportant un support creux (10), une garniture (14) avec ouverture centrale, une chambre de soupape (12), une tige de soupape (20) et un corps de soupape (16) la tige et le corps de la soupape se déplaçant dans la chambre de soupape sous l'effet de la pression s'exerçant sur la tige de la soupape, l'amélioration consistant dans le fait que le corps de la soupape possède au moins une paroi verticale (26) dans laquelle se trouve une cavité (22) et une encoche (21) qui part du contrefort supérieur de la paroi verticale et communique avec l'intérieur du récipient quand on agit sur la soupape; une tige de soupape présentant une ouverture longitudinale sur la longueur et une partie s'enfonçant dans la cavité du corps de soupape et pouvant s'en dégager, ladite tige présentant en outre un orifice (42), situé dans le prolongement de l'ouverture longitudinale de la tige, qui communique sur un côté avec l'encoche de la cavité du corps de soupape et, sur l'autre côté, avec l'ouverture longitudinale de la tige de soupape, l'ouverture centrale de la garniture fermant hermétiquement l'encoche formée par la paroi verticale du corps de soupape quand la soupape est en position de fermeture.
