Abstract (en)
[origin: JPS646390A] PURPOSE: To maintain mechanical resistance of supporting members by constructing the supporting members from circular rings or circular ring portions formed with flexible graphite laminated plates and making the layered structure of the laminates vertical with respect to the axes of heating rods. CONSTITUTION: Two heating rods 2 are fixed to respective supporting members 1, which have both ends formed of graphite laminates, with nuts 3 and locking nuts 4. In this case, the supporting members 1 have holes made at the fixed positions. The supporting members 1 themselves are fixed to the peripheral wall of a furnace via a graphite block 5, passing through a furnace insulating layer 6. The layered structure of the graphite laminate extends in the vertical direction of the heating rod. In this way, the mechanical resistance of the supporting members can be maintained.
