[origin: EP0294661A1] At least one part of the outer casing (7) of the watch is surmounted by a decorative covering of the mosaic type. This covering comprises a plurality of juxtaposed blocks (2) disposed on a bed (6) acting as a means for fastening the said blocks onto the said outer casing, the upper part (51, 52, 53) of the gaps separating the said blocks being left empty. If the blocks (2) are made from gold and cover an outer casing (7) which is also made of gold, the bed (6) is a gold paste on which the blocks are disposed and which is melted in order to weld the blocks to the outer casing. <IMAGE>
