Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0294734A1] The wrapper consists of a single-piece blank (7) which is placed asymmetrically around the bar (1), forming a covering sheet, is closed by an end fold, covering a longitudinal sealing seam, adjoining the longitudinal side (4) of the bar as a constituent of the tube of wrapping material, and is folded onto the underside of the bar. In this case, the covering sheet is connected to the part of the tube of wrapping material adjacent to the underside of the bar, covering folded-over regions of the end fold. The end of the blank facing away from the covering sheet is attached to the covering sheet in a projecting manner with the longitudinal sealing seam over the contour of the bar in a width corresponding to the extension of the longitudinal side (4). The end fold has defined, symmetrically arranged folding lines (15, 16). The blank (7) is bounded in a rectangular form. The covering sheet is formed by the folding-in of overlaps, so that the covering sheet and the overlaps are provided so as to be free from constituents of the longitudinal sealing seam. The end fold is bridged by a transverse sealing seam (21) which is arranged in the partial region of the end fold, which partial region is folded onto the underside of the bar (1) and is covered by the covering sheet. <IMAGE>
