Abstract (en)
Hollow structure with a flat bottom resting on a flattened and compacted laying surface (61) and consisting of juxtaposed wall elements comprising at least one substantially plane raft element (1) and two lateral side elements (2, 2') equipped respectively along their mutually confronting longitudinal edges (22) (12) with thinned ends (4) (5) having respectively inverted profiles forming longitudinal bearing faces inclined at the same non-zero angle relative to the vertical. During the laying of the elements (1, 2), the distance (L) between their inner edges (40) is smaller than the width (L') of the raft element (1), so that the short stays (4) (5) overlap and that their bearing faces are laid two-by-two onto one another, said stays having a profile and mechanical characteristics determined so as to transmit to the raft element (1) at least some of the forces supported by the side elements (2, 2'), or vice versa. This hollow structure is intended for the construction of tunnels for various uses. <IMAGE>
