Coloured diffusion images can be produced by a rapid process, in which a first sheet-like material, which contains, on a base, at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one dye donor compound which, on development, is capable of giving a diffusible dye, and/or a second non-photosensitive sheet-like material which contains a binder layer containing therein a salt of a weakly acidic organic compound and of a strong organic base, will be moistened with an aqueous liquid, whereupon the two sheet-like materials are heated to 40 to 120 DEG C in mutual contact of the coated sides and are then separated from one another.

Farbige Diffusionsbilder können durch ein Schnellverfahren hergestellt werden, bei dem ein erstes blattförmiges Material, das auf einem Schichtträger mindestens eine lichtempfindliche Silberhalogenidemulsionsschicht und mindestens eine farbgebende Verbindung enthält, die bei Entwicklung einen diffusionsfähigen Farbstoff zu liefern vermag, und/oder ein zweites nichtlichtempfindliches blattförmiges Material, das eine Bindemittelschicht mit einem darin enthaltenen Salz einer schwach aciden organischen Verbindung und einer starken organischen Base enthält, mit einer wäßrigen Flüssigkeit befeuchtet werden wird, worauf die beiden blattförmigen Materialien in beschichtungsseitigem Kontakt miteinander auf 40 bis 120°C erwärmt und anschließend voneinander getrennt werden.
