The invention relates to a sub-calibre projectile provided for wing stabilisation and of high length/diameter ratio, on the rear projectile-body region of which there is a tail unit consisting of a plurality of wings. In known penetrators of this type, there are fastening regions for the tail unit which involve a high outlay and which are designed with positive locking means, such as, for example, annular grooves or longitudinal grooves, with the result that the rear region of the impact projectile is in great danger of breakage during firing and on target impact. The invention avoids these disadvantages by means of a special type of fastening of the tail-unit wings, which is characterised in that each wing element 12 has, on the side provided for fastening to the projectile body 10, a flange strip 14 which is bent laterally and which is curved to match the cylindrical circumferential surface of the projectile body 10. Die Erfindung betrifft ein unterkalibriges zur Flügelstabilisierung vorgesehenes Geschoß von hohem Länge/Durchmesser-Verhältnis, an dessen heckseitigem Geschoßkörperbereich ein aus mehreren Flügeln bestehendes Leitwerk vorgesehen ist. Bei bekannten derartigen Penetratoren sind aufwendige und mit Formschlußmittels wie z.B. Ringrillen oder Längsnuten ausgebildete Befestigungsbereiche für das Leitwerk vorgesehen, wodurch der Heckbereich des Wuchtgeschosses bei Abschuß und Zielaufprall stark bruchgefährdet ist. Mit der Erfindung werden diese Nachteile durch eine besondere Befestigungsart der Leitwerksflügel vermieden, die sich dadurch auszeichnet, daß jedes Flügelelement 12 an der zur Befestigung mit dem Geschoßkörper 10 vorgesehenen Seite einen Flanschstreifen 14 aufweist, der seitlich abgeknickt und der zylindrischen Umfangsfläche des Geschoßkörpers 10 entsprechend angepaßt gebogen ist.
