Abstract (en)
A leather has on at least one of its surfaces a coating which covers a base leather. The coating takes the form of a cover layer (1) which planarises the base leather surface (4) underneath. This cover layer has at least at its surface (33) which is remote from the base leather surface (4) an appearance which predeterminably characterises the base leather (2). The cover layer (1) is composed of an equalising layer, which faces the base leather, and a top layer (6), which is remote from the base layer (2).

Ein Leder weist im Bereich mindestens einer seiner Oberflächen eine ein Basisleder bedeckende Beschichtung auf. Die Beschichtung ist als Unebenheiten im Bereich einer ihr zugewandt angeordneten Basislederoberfläche (4) nivellierende Deckschicht (1) ausgebildet. Diese Deckschicht weist mindestens im Bereich Ihrer der Basislederoberfläche (4) abgewandt angeordneten Deckschichtoberfläche (33) eine das Basisleder (2) vorgebbar charakterisierende Ausbildung auf. Die Deckschicht (1) ist aus einer dem Basisleder zugewandt angeordneten Ausgleichsschicht und eine dem Basisleder (2) abgewandt angeordneten Abdeckschicht (6) ausgebildet.
