[origin: EP0297077A2] Cooling device for a moving metal product, which comprises an upper box and a lower box provided, in a front wall, with orifices for the passage of a coolant in the direction of the metal product. The lower box (1) is divided into at least two compartments (9, 10) which are substantially parallel and oriented in the longitudinal direction of the lower box, the division into compartments being achieved by at least one partition (8) which is substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the lower box and which forms an angle with the front wall (7). Each of the compartments (9, 10) has some of the passage orifices (11, 12) and comprises means (13, 14) for supplying coolant. <IMAGE>
