An apparatus for periodically feeding measured lengths of weft thread for a multiple shed loom with pneumatic weft thread supply of the weft thread carriers has a driven measuring drum (32) and at least one pressure roller (35) which cooperates with the circumferential surface of the measuring drum and which is movably mounted between an inactive rest position and an operating position in which it presses the weft thread (51), coming from a thread supply, against the measuring drum circumferential surface. The arrangement here is such that the measuring drum and the control means (36, 43) for the pressure roller (35) are operatively linked with one another and that their common drive is derived from a main shaft of the driving means for the weft thread carriers of the loom. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Eine Vorrichtung zur periodischen Lieferung abgemessener Schußfadenlängen für eine mehrsystemite Webmaschine, mit pneumatischer Schußfadenversorgung der Schußfadenträger, weist eine angetriebene Meßtrommel (32) und mindestens eine mit deren Umfangsfläche zusammenwirkende Druckrolle (35) auf, welche zwischen einer unwirksamen Ruhestellung und einer den von einem Fadenvorrat kommenden Schußfaden (51) gegen die Meßtrommelumfangsfläche anpressenden Betriebsstellung beweglich gelagert ist. Dabei ist die Anordnung derart getroffen, daß die Meßtrommel und die Steuermittel (36, 43) für die Druckrolle (35) getrieblich miteinander gekuppelt sind und daß ihr gemeinsamer Antrieb von einer Hauptwelle der Antriebseinrichtung der Schußfadenträger der Webmaschine abgeleitet ist.
