2.1 Fuel supply devices are known in which height tolerances of the fuel tanks used are compensated for by axial displacement capability of the electrical fuel supply pump, but the generation of noise is not adequately prevented by the use of damping elements. With the new fuel supply device this disadvantage is largely avoided. 2.2 For this reason the invention proposes that the electrical fuel pump be connected by sound-insulating damping elements, by way of a telescopic guide so that it is axially displaceable, to the pressure and return line. The return line, divided into a top and bottom section, is supported by way of a compression spring on the tank cap and on the tank base, the fuel supply pump being resiliently connected in a sound-insulating manner via sound-damping means to the bottom section of the return line on the one hand and to the pressure line on the other hand. 2.3 By using this fuel supply device, height tolerance compensation and extensive sound insulation are achieved. <IMAGE>

Es sind Brennstoffördereinheiten bekannt, bei denen Höhentoleranzen der verwendeten Kraftstofftanks durch axiale Verschiebbarkeit der elektrischen Kraftstofförderpumpe ausgeglichen werden, aber die Verhinderung der Geräuschbildung durch Verwendung von Dämpfungselementen nicht optimal gelöst wird. Mit der neuen Brennstoffördereinheit wird dieser Nachteil weitgehendst vermieden. Deshalb sieht die Erfindung vor, daß die elektrische Kraftstoffpumpe (8) über eine Teleskopführung (9) axial verschiebbar mit der Druck- und Rücklaufleitung (23) durch geräuschisolierende Dämpfungselemente (13) verbunden ist. Die in ein Ober- (4) und Unterteil (6) geteilte Rücklaufleitung stützt sich über eine Druckfeder (5) am Tankverschlußdeckel (1) und am Tankboden (7) ab, wobei die Kraftstofförderpumpe geräuschisoliert einerseits mit dem Unterteil der Rückführleitung und andererseits mit der Druckleitung über geräuschdämpfende Verbindungsmittel federnd verbunden ist. Bei Einsatz dieser Brennstoffördereinheit wird ein Höhentoleranzausgleich und weitgehende Geräuschisolierung erreicht.
