[origin: JPS6422451A] PURPOSE: To enable the adjustment of a web height, web thickness and flange thickness of a preform body for rolling a beam by arranging straight-end range and curving end range to the outside in each side wall of a mold and enabling the adjustment of the side walls in the horizontal direction to casting direction. CONSTITUTION: The mold is formed of two side walls 1, 2 and two end walls 3, 4 arranged between these side walls 1, 2. In order to form a casting chamber for preform body 5 to roll the beam, the side walls 1, 2 have the curving end ranges and the straight end ranges. These end ranges are arranged in the reverse direction and the chamber for flanges 6, 7 of the preform body 5 is formed together with the end walls 3, 4 arranged between these side walls. The side walls 1, 2 of the mold are mutually paralleled and can adjust in the horizontal direction to the casting direction along the directions of the arrow marks 17, 18. By this constitution, the height of the web 9 in the preform body 5 can be changed.
