Bei einer Schneidvorrichtung (1) für in Schuppenform durch eine Transportvorrichtung herangeführte Papierprodukte (2) mit einem rotierenden Schneidmesser (4) und einem gegenläufig rotierenden, letzteres in der Schneidebene teilweise überlappenden Gegenmesser (5) und einer im Schneidbereich vorgesehenen Preßvorrichtung (6, 7) für die Papierprodukte (2) weist das Gegenmesser (5) eine in die Schneidebene hineinragende Schneidkante (20) und eine axial verlaufende Auflagefläche (31) für die Papierprodukte (2) auf.
