Abstract (en)
The handle (6) is locked in the inactive position by a spring-tensioned (19) plunger (9) carrying a striking pin (15). When the handle (6) is grasped after removing the locking pin (9), the weight of the container (1) causes the handle (6) to pivot in the working position. As it pivots, an operating member (13) on this handle acts on the plunger (14) and causes the cartridge (17) containing the compressed inert gas to be opened, which then expands into the container (1). As the handle (6) reaches the end of its stroke, the operating member (13) ceases to act on the plunger (14), which returns to its initial position under the action of its spring (19). The handle (6) is then immobilised by this plunger. To release it, it is a simple matter, after removing the cover, to extract the cartridge (17) and engage a spanner (30) with a thread (20) on the plunger (14) and pull to free the handle which is then able to return to the inactive position. <IMAGE>

La poignée (6) est bloquée en position inactive par un piston (9) porte-percuteur (15) à ressort (19). Lorsqu'on saisit la poignée (6) après enlèvement de la goupille (9) de verrouillage,le poids du récipient (1) fait passer la poignée (6) en position de travail. Au cours de ce passage, un organe d'actionnement (13) de cette poignée agit sur le piston (14) et provoque l'ouverture de la cartouche (17) contenant du gaz inerte comprimé qui se répand alors dans le récipient (1). A fin de course de la poignée (6), l'organe d'actionnement (13) cesse d'agir sur le piston (14), qui revient en position initiale sous l'action de son ressort (19). La poignée (6) est alors bloquée par ce piston. Pour la débloquer, il suffit, après enlèvement du couvercle, d'extraire la cartouche (17) et d'amener une clé à vis (30) en prise avec un filetage (20) du piston (14) et d'exercer une traction pour libérer la poignée qui peut alors revenir en position inactive.
