The furniture has a head part 11 which can be inserted in a space 8 provided between the backrest 10 and the rear wall 9 of the furniture frame. The end of the head part 11 which is at the top in the inserted position is connected swivellably to the furniture frame 1 via a flexible band 17 and the opposite end is connected swivellably to a carriage 2 which can be pulled out of the furniture frame 1. In order for the head part 11 to come to rest above the seat cushion 7 in the inserted position with a simple construction, a link 12 is arranged on each side of the head part 11. Each link 12 is swivellably connected at one end to the seat cushion 7 via a bracket 13 with an axle 14. The link 12 is attached at the other end to the head part 11 by means of an axle 16 arranged on a bracket 15. <IMAGE>

Ein Sitz- bzw. Liegemöbel weist einen Kopfteil 11 auf, der in einen zwischen Rückenlehne 10 und Rückwand 9 des Möbelgestelles vorgesehenen Raum 8 einschiebbar ist. Das in der eingeschobenen Stellung obere Ende des Kopfteiles 11 ist über ein flexibles Band 17 mit dem Möbelgestell 1, und das gegenüberliegende Ende mit einem aus dem Möbelgestell 1 ausziehbaren Wagen 2 schwenkbar verbunden. Um zu erreichen, daß bei einfachem Aufbau der Kopfteil 11 in eingeschobener Stellung über dem Sitzpolster 7 zu liegen kommt, ist an beiden Seiten des Kopfteiles 11 je ein Lenker 12 angeordnet. Jeder Lenker 12 ist an seinem einen Ende über einen Beschlag 13 mit einer Achse 14 mit dem Sitzpolster 7 schwenkbar verbunden. Am anderen Ende des Lenkers 12 ist dieser mittels einer an einem Beschlag 15 angeordneten Achse 16 am Kopfteil 11 angelenkt.
