Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0298217A1] The operating unit is intended for a lamellar blind or the like, in which the slats of the lamellar blind can be moved by means of a traction element, in particular a traction chain, having a housing (5) consisting, in particular, of plastic, an electric drive motor arranged in the housing (5), and a drive pinion or the like which is coupled with the drive motor, if appropriate via an interposed reducing gear, in which unit the housing (5) has a front wall (9), a rear wall (10) and side walls (11) and end walls (12) which connect the front wall (9) and rear wall (10), the traction element enters the housing through an opening (13) and is hooked onto the drive pinion, and in which a switching control device (14) is provided for the electric drive motor, can be retrofitted in a cost-effective, easy and flexible manner and permits simple manual operation of the lamellar blind, if necessary, by the fact that the opening (13) of the housing (5) is made in a side wall (11) and, preferably, a further, corresponding opening is made in the opposite side wall (7), and that the switching control device (14) or a receiving part of the switching control device (14) is arranged in or on the housing (5). <IMAGE>
