The tower consists of at least two successive shelves and at least one spacer support connecting these shelves, the spacer support being coupled at both ends to the respective shelf. Es wird ein Etagenturm vorgeschlagen, der aus mindestens zwei aufeinander folgenden Etagenböden und mindestens einer diese Etagenböden verbindende Abstandsstütze besteht, wobei die Abstandsstütze an beiden Enden mit dem jeweiligen Etagenboden gekuppelt ist. Dabei ist die Kupplung so ausgebildet, daß eine Entkupplung in horizontaler Richtung, d.h. quer zur Höhenrichtung des Etagenturms möglich ist.
