[origin: EP0298252A2] The bag has bottom portions (4), which are bonded flatly to one another and are folded in opposite directions and transversely to the longitudinal edges or side walls, and bottom flaps (5; 6) which are folded onto said bottom portions and are partially formed by the folded-in bottom portions. The flat bonding of the bottom portions (4) and bottom flaps (5; 6) is bounded, seen towards the lateral edges (11; 12) of the bottom, in such a way that, in the region of the overlapping bottom flaps, free zones remain on said bottom flaps and the bottom portions, which zones are connected in each case by a continuous strip-shaped application of hot-adhesive glue (9; 10) extending over the bottom portion and at least part of the bottom flaps (Figure 2). <IMAGE>
