CONSTITUTION: Threaded columns 1a, 2a are rectilinearly inserted into roll housing 7, 8. At the same time, screw-down setting nuts 21, 22 are drivably supported in cross-arms 17, 18. A roll stand is thinned, the shape thereof is simplified, and a manufacturing process of a roll stand is simplified and production costs thereof are reduced by the constitution thereof.
