[origin: EP0298911A2] To secure the printing doctor (10) above the printing screen, the doctor inside the cavity (2) of the hollow profile (1) is pressed against a wall (13) of the cavity (2) by means of a clamping tube (3) lying in a longitudinal groove (4) and being supplied with by a pressure medium. The tube (3) is made of elastic material; it therefore enables the printing doctor (10) to be secured with a uniform linear contact pressure over its whole length. Consequently, there is no danger that the printing doctor (10) can distort as a result of local areas of unevenness on its surface which could give rise to local differences in contact pressure. <IMAGE>
