[origin: EP0298946A2] The device has a tubular housing (1) which can be built into the withdrawal line between boiler and chimney and which receives a fume flap (2) for shutting off the withdrawal line and, connected after the fume flap, an air flap (3) for chimney ventilation. Fume flap (2) and air flap (3) can in this connection be operated in opposite directions via a servomotor (4), which can be driven depending upon the heating operation, and an adjusting linkage (6, 7). In order to be able to accommodate all control and safety devices of a fume take-off in a simple and compact manner and to install them economically, the air flap (3) is connected non-positively to the adjusting linkage (7) by a spring or weight load which acts in the direction of closing, and the tubular housing (1) preferably forms an additional flap chamber (11) for a spring-loaded or weight-loaded draught control flap (13) known per se. <IMAGE>
