[origin: WO8803959A1] The partial heat treatment and drawing of wire rods (WD) is carried out in a quenching chamber (2), placed downstream of the coiling apparatus (1). Work can thus be carried out at normal rolling speeds of up to 120 m/s, and the circular arrangement of the wire in the quenching chamber greatly reduces the length of the cooling line necessary for the heat treatment. The wire rods (WD) are shaped into loops (S) in the hot-rolled state thereby preventing excessive wear on the coiling apparatus (1), and the cooled wire is free from stresses, as the quenched steel does not have to be bent.

La trempe partielle de fil machine (WD) est effectuée dans une enceinte de trempe (2) disposée en aval de l'organe de bobinage (1). Ceci permet d'utiliser des vitesses de laminage de 120 m/s et le dépôt, en forme d'anneau, du fil dans l'enceinte de trempe raccourcit considérablement la longueur nécessaire pour effectuer le refroidissement utilisé dans la trempe. Le fil (WD) est formé en boucles (S) à l'état chaud de façon à éviter une trop grande usure de l'organe de bobinage (1) et le fil refroidi est exempt de tension, car le fil trempé n'a pas besoin d'être plié.
