To limit the working pressure in a range of approximately 10 bars and to ensure the effective penetration of the treating liquids, the treating device has several adjacent liquid supply channels that extend perpendicularly to the support and are enlarged on the lower side of the device facing the hide, covering a large area. Between the lower side of the treating device and the hide is arranged a fine-meshed cover and the space between support, hide, cover and treating device can be essentially sealed in relation to the outside.
