[origin: US4877229A] A method of extracting and accelerating flat objects such as postal items which are presented in the outlet position of an unstacking head for use by a machine downstream therefrom, the method making use of a clamp for grasping postal items one-by-one and of various sensors (7) such as photoelectric cells, serving to indicate the presence of a postal item in the outlet position of the unstacking head, or in the field of action of the clamp, or serving to indicate that the clamp is in a waiting position or in an end-of-stroke position, the method being characterized in that it essentially comprises the following stages: moving the clamp to a waiting position; when the presence of a postal item is expected in the outlet position from the unstacking head, driving the carriage towards the outlet position of the unstacking head; when the presence of the postal item is detected within the field of action of the clamp, the clamp is closed and the carriage is driven towards the downstream machine; as soon as the presence of a postal item is no longer detected in the outlet position of the unstacking head, the clamp is unclamped, thereby releasing the postal item; and the carriage is stopped and returned to the waiting position.

Procédé d'extraction et de mise en vitesse d'objets plats tels que des plis se présentant dans la position de sortie d'une tête de dépilage, à destination d'une machine utilisatrice, par l'emploi d'une pince saisissant les plis un à un et de différents capteurs (7), tels que des cellules photo-électriques, permettant de déceler la présence d'un pli dans la position de sortie de la tête de dépilage, ou dans le champ de la pince, ou servant à signaler que la pince se trouve dans une position d'attente ou dans une position de fin de course, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend essentiellement les étapes suivantes : - conduite de la pince dans une position d'attente, - lorsque la présence d'un pli est décelée dans la position de sortie de la tête de dépilage, mise en marche du chariot vers la position de sortie de la tête de dépilage, - lorsque la présence du pli est décelée dans le champ de la pince, serrage de la pince et mise en marche du chariot vers la machine utilisatrice, - dès que la présence du pli n'est plus décelée dans la position de sortie de la tête de dépilage, desserrage de la pince qui relâche le pli, - arrêt du chariot et retour de celui-ci dans la position d'attente.
