Abstract (en)
The cassette (1) of general parallelepipedal, substantially cubic shape contains a typeholder bowl (3) and carries two spools (8) for the inking ribbon (9). The active side of the ribbon between the two spools is "straightened" by a straightening device which causes it to pass from a position, in which it is arranged in a plane substantially perpendicular to the axis (7) of the typeholder bowl, into a plane in which it is arranged substantially parallel to this axis and opposite the typing point, in order to return to a plane perpendicular to this axis, from which it winds onto the take-up spool. Thus, one and the same cassette (1) is common to the typeholder (3) and to the inking ribbon (9), thereby increasing the convenience of use of the machine. <IMAGE>

La cassette (1), de forme générale parallélépipédique, sensiblement cubique, contient une tulipe portecaractères (3) et porte deux bobines (8) pour le ruban encreur (9). Le brin actif du ruban, entre les deux bobines, est "redressé" par un dispositif redresseur qui le fait passer d'une position dans laquelle il est situé dans un plan sensiblement perpendiculaire à l'axe (7) de la tulipe porte-caractères dans un plan dans lequel il est situé sensiblement parallèlement à cet axe, en regard du point de frappe, pour retourner dans un plan perpendiculaire à cet axe à partir duquel il s'enroule sur la bobine captrice. Ainsi, une seule et même cassette (1) est commune au support de caractères (3) et au ruban encreur (9) ce qui accroît la commodité d'emploi de la machine.
