[origin: WO8706063A1] Device for setting the rotor (1) fo a rotary switch in three possible switching positions (positions 1 to 3). Such rotary switches can be for example wave guide or coaxial switches. The excitation of windings in this device for a rotary direction is effected by a pair of conductors (I) with a current pulse. This current pulse, via an initial drive system and by means of a drive torque (5) produced by the latter, moves the rotor (1) from an initial end position (position 1) in the direction of the mid-position (position 3). After the current pulse has been switched off, a permanently imprinted latching torque (4) brings about the further rotation of the rotor (1) to position 3, where the rotor (1) is centred by the shape of the latching torque (4) with a further current pulse on the same pair of conductors (I) a second drive system, which produces a drive moment in accordance with (5b), moves the rotor (1) from the mid-position (position 3) to the end position (position 2).
