Abstract (en)

In a known device for thermal printing, a pre-heater device is provided directly adjacent to individually controllable heating elements of a thermal print head. With the new thermal printing device, effective pre-heating of the print zone is to be made possible, and at the same time the most rapid removal possible of excess heat is to be ensured in order to increase the speed of printing. In a thermal print head 1 consisting of a thin carrier plate 2 with the heating elements arranged on the upper side 3 of the plate, the pre-heating device 9, bearing against the underside 8 of the plate, is arranged within a recess 11 of a heat sink 10, which bears against the underside 8 of the plate outside the pre-heating device 9. The new thermal printing device contains a pre-heating device for pre-warming a thermal print head. <IMAGE>

Abstract (de)

Bei einer bekannten Thermodruckvorrichtung ist in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einzeln ansteuerbaren Heizelementen eines Thermodruckkopfes eine Vorheizeinrichtung vorgesehen. Mit der neuen Thermodruckvorrichtung soll eine effektive Vorheizung der Druckzone ermöglicht werden, wobei zugleich eine schnellstmögliche Ableitung überschüssiger Wärme zur Erhöhung der Druckgeschwindigkeit gewährleistet werden soll. Bei einem aus einer dünnen Trägerplatte 2 mit einer Anordnung der Heizelemente auf der Plattenoberseite 3 bestehenden Thermodruckkopf 1 ist die Vorheizeinrichtung 9 an der Plattenunterseite 8 anliegend innerhalb einer Ausnehmung 11 eines Kühlkörpers 10 angeordnet, der außerhalb der Vorheizeinrichtung 9 an der Plattenunterseite 8 anliegt. Die neue Thermodruckvorrichtung enthält eine Vorheizeinrichtung zum Vorwärmen eines Thermodruckkopfes.
