In order to increase the performance of the device without requiring a relatively large rotor speed, an outer ring (5) with slots (6) is attached around the stator (1) by means of screws in such a way that it can be moved up and down and possibly also in a rotating manner, by which means principally the width of the slots can be adjusted or narrowed. As a result, a higher output speed of the liquid and thus a higher degree of efficiency is obtained with the same rotor performance. <IMAGE>
