Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0301162A2] A mobile and stationary bathing and therapy unit for the treatment of diseases, especially of the hands, feet and the genital area, and for whole-body treatment. The apparatus consists of several ultrasonic transmitters which act upon the inside of the metallic liquid containers into which the diseased parts of the body can be introduced. Surprisingly, it has been found that, by combining a medical liquid in the liquid container with the application of ultrasound to the diseased parts of the body, the course of the disease can be significantly shortened and better healing results can be achieved. The blood circulation is promoted, and the cleaning of the body parts is considerably facilitated. The apparatus is of simple design; it consists essentially of a common housing, in which the metallic liquid containers (12), the ultrasonic transmitters (10) and the necessary operating arrangements are present. <IMAGE>
