A centrifuge (1) has on its rotating drum (2) a concomitantly rotating folding lid (7) which can be locked in the closed position and on its centrifuge housing (4) a housing lid (10) which does not rotate concomitantly and can be folded for the purpose of opening and closing. A remote-controllable unlocking device (11) for the folding lid (7) is provided in the centrifuge housing (4) and the housing lid (10) and the folding lid (7) have a coupling which is connected during the opening of the two lids (7 and 10) and can be released in their closed position, by which means they are connected to one another during the opening so that the opening of the housing lid (10) leads automatically to the opening of the drum lid (7). Thus, despite the permanent swivel connection of the lid (7) to the drum (2), the said lid can be opened and closed automatically and thus the removal and insertion of containers (5) into the drum (2) can be automised. <IMAGE>

Eine Zentrifuge (1) hat an ihrer rotierenden Trommel (2) einen mitdrehenden, in Schließstellung verriegelbaren Klappdeckel (7) und an ihrem Zentrifugengehäuse (4) einen nicht mitdrehenden, zum Öffnen und Schließen klappbaren Gehäusedeckel (10). In dem Zentrifugengehäuse (4) ist eine fernbedienbare Entriegelungsvorrichtung (11) für den Klappdeckel (7) vorgesehen und der Gehäusedeckel (10) und der Klappdeckel (7) haben eine während des Öffnens der beiden Deckel (7 u. 10) verbundene und in ihrer Schließstellung lösbare Kupplung, wodurch sie während des Öffnens miteinander verbunden werden, so daß das Öffnens des Gehäusedeckels (10) automatisch zum Öffnens des Trommel-Deckels (7) führt. Somit kann trotz der festen Schwenkverbindung des Deckels (7) mit der Trommel (2) dieser automatisch geöffnet und geschlossen werden und somit das Entnehmen und Einsetzen von Kästen (5) in die Trommel (2) automatisiert werden
