An axial piston machine (1) with a swash-plate (8), which is arranged such that it can rotate in the housing (2), by means of an input drive shaft (5), and is borne radially in a radial bearing (22) as well as being axially supported, is to be designed such that the input drive shaft (5) or its bearing is essentially released by radial supporting or tilting forces of the swash-plate (8). This is achieved by the bearing length (1) of the radial bearing (22) extending onto the axis (24) essentially in the region of the projection (P1) of the swash-plate surface (9). <IMAGE>

Eine Axialkolbenmaschine (1) mit einem Schiefscheibenkörper (8), der durch eine Antriebswelle (5) drehbar im Gehäuse (2) angeordnet und in einem Radiallager (22) radial gelagert sowie axial abgestützt ist, ist so auszugestalten, daß die Antriebswelle (5) oder deren Lagerung von radialen Stütz- bzw. Kippkräften des Schiefscheibenkörpers (8) im wesentlichen freigestellt ist. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß die Lagerlänge (1) des Radiallagers (22) sich im wesentlichen im Bereich der Projektion (P1) der Schieffläche (9) auf die Achse (24) erstreckt.
