Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0301269A2] So that a grinding machine, comprising a grinding tool which is driven so as to oscillate about a pivot axis fixed to the machine and through a small pivoting angle and which has a grinding face with at least one corner area and through which at least one suction channel passes which leads from an intake opening to an exhaust opening lying on a side remote from the grinding face, is improved in such a way that an effective, reliable dust exhaust system, which in particular can be retrofitted, is possible in as simple a construction as possible and without impairing the handling of the grinding machine, it is proposed that the exhaust opening be arranged outside the corner area, and that an exhaust hood be provided which can be fixed to the machine, overlaps the exhaust opening in all pivoted positions and allows the corner area of the grinding tool to project free of cover. <IMAGE>
