[origin: EP0301413A1] In the case of an electrical switch, having a housing together with a base plate, having a push button, which can be moved preferably linearly with respect to the housing, having a switching ram, which can be moved by the push button and can be pivoted with respect to the push button, and having a switching arm, which is supported such that it can rotate in the base plate, and can be pivoted in a reciprocating manner by the push button and the switching ram between two limit positions alternately, hence controlling a moving contact bridge, especially a snap spring, it is intended to facilitate testing of the switch mechanism during assembly. This is achieved by the switching ram being supported in the base plate. <IMAGE>
