[origin: EP0301416A1] In an instantaneous hot water storage heater (1) with a heat- transmitting member arranged inside the storage space, this member is arranged in the form of a tube coil (19) coaxially with the vertical axis between two concentric guide walls (20, 21 or 18, 20). The inner guide wall (20) delimits a central displacement space (25) which in the lower region of the tube coil (19) is connected via radial openings (26) of the inner guide wall (20) to the annular space (24) delimited by the two guide walls (20, 21 or 20, 18). This annular space (24) can at its upper and lower side be connected to an outer annular space (27) delimited by an outer guide wall (21) and the storage heater wall (18) and connected to the hot water outlet pipe (23) (Fig. 2). The outer guide wall can also, however, be formed by the storage heater wall (18) itself and then delimits only with the inner guide wall (20) an annular space (24) which is connected at the top and at the bottom to the central space (25) (Fig. 3). By virtue of this design, the storage heater (1) can be dimensioned in slender manner and accommodated together with a water heater (2) associated with a circulating heating system in a common housing (3) as a wall-mounted device. <IMAGE>
