Abstract (en)
A stability protection device for electrical appliances which are freestanding in their operating position, in particular for appliances having an electric heating arrangement and a switch connected to the power supply to the appliance, disconnects the electrical arrangement of the appliance from the power supply when the appliance tilts at an inadmissible angle of inclination and reconnects the appliance to the power supply when the appliance returns to the permissible upright operating position. To achieve a compact design and instantaneous operation, the switch (21) comprises a pot-shaped housing (4) with a funnel-shaped base (4'') made from an electrically and magnetically inert material and a ball (6) made from a ferromagnetic and electrically conductive material which moves freely in said housing. An electronic regulating device recognizes and records changes in position of the ball (6) in the pot-shaped housing (4) and evaluates them, in order to disconnect or reconnect the appliance to the power supply.

Bei einer Kippsicherung für in der Arbeitsstellung frei aufgestellte elektrische Geräte, insbesondere für Geräte mit einer elektrischen Heizeinrichtung und mit einer im Stromkreis der Geräte liegenden Schalteinrichtung, die bei Einnahme einer Kippstellung mit unzulässigem Neigungswinkel die elektrische Einrichtung der Geräte von der Stromquelle trennt und bei Rückführung der Geräte in die zulässige aufrechte Arbeitsstellung an die Stromquelle anliegt, ist zur platzsparenden und verzögerungsfrei arbeitenden Ausbildung vorgesehen, daß die Schalteinrichtung (21) durch ein topfförmiges Gehäuse (4) mit trichterförmigen Boden (4") aus einem magnetisch und elektrisch indifferenten Werkstoff und eine in diesem frei bewegbar untergebrachte Kugel (6) aus ferromagnetischem und elektrisch leitendem Werkstoff gebildet ist und eine elektronische Regeleinrichtung für die Geräte aufweist, die Stellungswechsel der Kugel (6) im topfförmigen Gehäuse (4) erkennt bzw. registriert und im Sinne einer Trennung oder Verbindung des Gerätes von oder mit der Stromquelle auswertet.
