Tunnel kiln (1) with wagons running through in the form of a tightly closed wagon train (2), on the end faces of which wagons there are arranged sealing skirts (4) which extend downwards, brush against the kiln walls (5), have at the most a small separation from the base (7) of the tunnel kiln and form sections of the under-wagon channel (8) along the length of the kiln. With the arrangement of two or more wagon trains (2) parallel next to one another along the tunnel kiln (1), there projects upwards between two wagon trains (2), from the base (7) of the kiln and corresponding approximately to the height of the under-wagon channel (8), a plinth (6), against which the skirts (4) brush. <IMAGE>

Tunnelofen (1) mit als dichtgeschlossener Wagenzug (2) durchfahrenden Ofenwagen, an deren Stirnseiten gegen die Ofenwände (5) schleifende und mit allenfalls geringem Abstand zum Fundament (7) des Tunnelofens heraubreichende Dichtschürzen (4) abgebracht sind und Abschnitte des Unterwagenkanals (8) in Ofenlänge bilden, wobei mit der Anordnung von zwei oder mehr Wagenzügen (2) parallel nebeneinander längs des Tunnelofens (1) zwischen zwei Wagenzügen (2) etwa der Höhe des Unterwagenkanals (8) entsprechend ein Sockel (6) vom Fundament (7) des Ofens nach oben ragt, gegen den die Schürzen (4) schleifen.
