[origin: EP0302388A2] In a device for removing feeder heads and runners from a casting, a wedge 4 is connected to a displaceable piston 7 and the side faces of the wedge 4 are covered by elements 2 which can be moved relative to one another. The elements 2 are connected at one of their ends to a fixed element 10, via bolts 6 and longitudinal openings 5, and the elements 2 are in addition held against the side faces of the wedge 4 by compression and/or tension means 3. <IMAGE>
