[origin: JPS6459732A] PURPOSE: To generate the second arc only when the current to be cut off is strong by separating auxiliary contact pieces generating the second arc only when the pressure in a blast zone reaches the prescribed threshold value. CONSTITUTION: For the cutoff of a strong current, pressure is increased in the zone adjacent to the generated primary arc 30, and a member 24 is moved against the action of a spring 23. When auxiliary arc contact pieces 22a, 21c are separated by the movement of the member 24, the secondary arc 31 is generated. A current flows on members 4, 3, 5a, 5b, 18, 18a, 19, 22, the arc 31, members 21c, 21, 21a, the arc 30, and members 25a, 25. The arc 31 remarkably increases the pressure in a space V2, and the pressure applied to a piston 12 is increased. This piston 12 acts on a large area S4, and the blow-off force of the primary arc 30 by the gas in a space V1 is increased. L'invention concerne un disjoncteur à haute ou moyenne tension à gaz sous pression à énergie de coupure prélevée sur celle de l'arc. Elle a pour objet un disjoncteur à haute ou moyenne tension à gaz sous pression à énergie de coupure prélevée sur celle de l'arc, du type comprenant : - un ensemble fixe comprenant des contacts principaux (8a) et des contacts d'arc (21a), - un ensemble mobile comprenant des contacts principaux (26) et des contact d'arc (25), - un volume de soufflage (V1) comportant un piston (12) se déplaçant à la séparation des contacts et poussant du gaz comprimé à travers une buse de soufflage (7) s'ouvrant sur la zone où se forme un arc principal à la séparation des contacts d'arc et un jeu de contacts auxiliaires (22a, 21c) en série avec les contacts d'arc pour créer un arc auxiliaire dans le volume (V2) situé à l'arrière du piston, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte des moyens (23, 24) pour n'autoriser la séparation des contacts auxiliaires que lorsque la pression dans la zone de soufflage atteint un seuil prédéterminé.
