[origin: WO8706549A1] A switch in a conveyor system with overhead carriages (1) comprises, for switching the carriages between a main track (2) and a branch track (4), a first connecting point (8) at which a first switch tongue (7) is pivotally mounted, and a second connecting point (12) at which a second switch tongue (11) is pivotally mounted. The switch tongues (7, 11) alternately bridge the space between the switching point (10) and the respective connecting point (8 and 12) in such a manner a carriage (1) suspended by means of a wheel (3) is switched onto the switch tongue (7) or the switch tongue (11), i.e. onto the main track (2) or the branch track (4), depending on which tongue is pivoted to switching position at the switching point (10). The switch tongues (7, 11) are simultaneously operable by means of the control shaft (20) to which two link systems (14, 21, 22 and 17, 23, 24, respectively) are connected.
