[origin: EP0303027A2] The shaking device (5) is provided with a drive (7) for producing the shaking motion, and is provided with a tank (8) for receiving the water (10) and with a platform (15) in the water bath with holding devices for the containers of the liquid to be shaken, for example conical flasks. The tank (8) has a receiving area (9) for the water bath in the form of a sealed ring with a central passage (11) for the drive axle (12) of the drive (7), the platform (15) being essentially of circular ring shape, fixed to the upper end of the drive axle (12) and driven by this.
