The machine is intended for the tying of packages, in particular with a thermoplastic strip as the tying means, and comprises a store for the tying means in which a movable group of deflection rollers can be moved not only inside its actual storage arrangement for the tying means but can also be moved along roller supports beyond the second group of rollers to a position for the introduction of the tying means by virtue of a comb-like arrangement of the rollers, in which position the two groups of rollers provide a continuous clearance in order to guide through the tying means and the store for said tying means is automatically formed with the relevant roller support being guided back into the said storage position of the tying means.

Dargestellt und beschrieben ist eine Maschine zum Umreifen von Packstücken (11) mit insbesondere thermoplastischem Kunststoffband als Umreifungsmittel und mit einem Umreifungsmittelspeicher (19), bei dem eine bewegbare Gruppe von Umlenkrollen nicht nur innerhalb seiner eigentlichen Umreifungsmittel-Speicheranordnung bewegbar ist, sondern durch kammartige Anordnung der Rollen (22,23) an Rollenträgern (24,25) über die zweite Gruppe von Rollen hinaus in eine Umreifungsmittel-Einführungsstellung, bei der die beiden Gruppen von Rollen einen durchgehenden Freiraum zum Hindurchführen des Umreifungsmittels bereitstellen und der Umreifungsmittelspeicher mit dem Zurückführen des betreffenden Rollenträgers in die Umreifungsmittel-Speicherstellung selbsttätig gebildet wird.
