Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0303141A1] For opening and closing an electromagnetically shielded cover (3), especially for the window and door apertures of a shielded room, considerable forces often have to be exerted because of the clamping effect of contact elements (6). An actuation assistance device for this purpose consists of a bearing bush (10) which is arranged in a receiving well (2) and in which is mounted rotatably a drive shaft (11) projecting at both ends beyond the receiving well and connecting the shielded inner room mechanically to the environment. Attached to one of the projecting ends is a cylindrical closing worm (13) with a closing thread (14) which serves for receiving and guiding a locking element preferably attached to the cover (3) and designed as a locking pin (7). For the electromagnetic sealing off of the device according to the invention, there is a sealing spring (15) which is arranged between the closing worm and the receiving well and which braces the bearing bush and closing worm relative to the drive shaft in a manner proof against high frequency. Advantageously, the sealing spring is mounted on one side in a cylindrical recess (24) located in the closing worm. <IMAGE>
