Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a façade element and a method for producing said façade element. The façade element is provided with a pair of glass panes (14,15) extending parallel to each other, which glass panes are kept spaced from each other by means of a spacer (20) of plastic material and which are both attached with their circumferential edges, via a layer of structural sealant material (21,22), to flange profiles (16) forming a frame supporting the glass panes. Each glass pane (14,15) is attached to the structural border profiles (16) forming a frame of the other glass pane. In addition to this only the spacer (20), consisting of plastic material, is in contact with the facing sides of the glass panes (14,15).
